Welcome to the Rickmansworth Garden, Arts & Homecrafts Society

Formerly the Rickmansworth and District Horticultural Society.

The Society’s aim is to encourage participation and friendly competition in horticultural and homecraft activities among residents in the neighbourhood.

It organises two shows during the year when members may exhibit in a wide range of classes. These are horticultural (floral, fruit and vegetable), decorative (flower arranging), kitchencraft (food & drink), handicraft and photographic. Horticultural classes are open to members only but non-members resident in Rickmansworth may enter the the other classes. Children may enter in dedicated classes free of charge.

The Society is affiliated to: The Royal Horticultural Society, The National Dahlia Society, The Fuchsia Society and The National Sweet Pea Society

In normal times (non-covid), a programme of talks is arranged during the year on a range of subjects. Also available are coach outings and an annual quiz supper. However, all of these, including our shows, are on hold until better times arrive.

Please note that our talks are held at the Mill End Baptist Church in Field Way. See the map on the “Programme” page.
